Our Facility
Located one mile from the UNCA campus by the French Broad River in Asheville NC, our facility is designed to offer a professional atmosphere, an environment conducive to higher learning, and a sacred space supportive of personal unfoldments. Six classrooms allow ample space for a marvelous blend of function and beauty. Lecture classes and Herbal Studies have designated rooms set up with a wealth of supplies at the ready. Hands on massage, a large variety of movement classes, and an exciting mix of continuing education classes and community service events, utilize large open rooms. All of our classrooms hold nondenominational altars for individual prayer and meditation. A permanent library provides books on many aspects of healing for enlightenment. The kitchen and research common area supports our dedication to a healthy lifestyle and closeness as a community of healers. Our student clinic offers a warm, inviting yet therapeutic setting for the students to practice healing skills with clients from the community while receiving guidance and instruction from staff members. The book and supply store allows students easy access to massage and healing tools while stocking many books on meditation, conscious living and many healing modalities. We feel our facility truly supports our focus of spirit centered education.
Our Location
NCSNH is located in Asheville, N.C. in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our students quickly sense the vibration and sacredness of these the oldest mountains in the world. We find this the ideal environment for our school. Class field trips seek to immerse students literally and figuratively in the waters, rocks, forest, and energy of this beautiful landscape.
Nature as Classroom
Self-renewal is an important skill for anyone studying the healing arts. Communion with nature teaches rest, rejuvenation and moving with the rhythm of life. Some of our classes take place at waterfalls, on mountaintops or in the woods. Being together out of doors promotes a special bonding in each training group.
Universal Perspective and Direct Experience
Our Programs incorporate spiritual wisdom from the Great Healing Traditions of the world. Students experience a special form of learning based on immersion in a field of highly charged energy. We exchange this energy directly with each other in an easy, open way.
Spiritual Community and Personal Evolution:
The class environment encourages you to connect with other people in a positive, mutually supportive way. Inner focus through meditation, breathwork, movement and other practices promote your individual evolution. Knowing how to remain heart centered and grounded provides a stable base to help others call forth sacred unity from within themselves.
Small Class Size
A low faculty-student ratio during practicum assures each student receiving personalized instruction. This allows for an intensive learning atmosphere most like an apprenticeship. The learning process emphasizes direct experience, intuition, practical skills, technical knowledge and self-transformation.
