When we love something passionately, we feel a natural urge to share it with others. Massage is one of the fastest growing healthcare professions and the need for qualified instructors is on the rise. We are responding to that call by offering an Intensive Massage Therapy Instructor Training that will meet one weekend per month beginning this September 2007 until April 2008.

The role of a teacher is one of coach, mentor, role model, and sharer of information—all from a knowledge base that inspires confidence, true compassion and grounded being. To become the teacher, we must be willing to look within—for classroom experiences will mirror for us our ability to maintain the mindfulness and focused presence we ask of the student. As teachers, we must exemplify and communicate the full range of the massage healing arts with precision, clarity, patience, wit, and professionalism.

Deepening our insights about ourselves, developing curriculum, practicing presentation styles, honing communication skills, and recognizing the dynamics of classroom management are some of the topics this course covers in depth. Being a School of Natural Healing, we offer ‘Spirit-Centered-Education’ and it is customary for us to blend mind-body-spirit awareness within all our curriculums. This guarantees that your training will be up-to-date within the fast evolving field of therapeutic massage, bodywork, and healing.

Participants will be supported to develop their own unique creativity and teaching styles while learning the necessary skills for teaching and mentoring a range of students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Clearly, this program will take the massage professional to the level of competency required for being a teacher of the massage healing arts that will fill a growing need in our profession.
